Julie Hand
Julie Hand has created mosaics and taught within schools and communities throughout northern England, and has work installed in various public buildings around Yorkshire. She creates decorative mosaics inspired by the creatures that visit her garden, and the surrounding hills.

Her work is created primarily from stained glass as she delights in its depths, tones and hidden secrets of colour and texture. This, along with other ephemera such as beads, cabochons, vintage jewellery, millefiori and fossils, enable her aim of transferring a seemingly rigid substance into an emotive piece of art.
She also teaches mosaics at various locations in the area and you can contact her at themosaicroom@yahoo.co.uk for up to date information on these. Further work can be seen on her website.
