Jane is an artist, designer and maker. In 2016, she pursued her dream of becoming a professional artist studying a BA in Glass and Ceramics at the University of Sunderland followed by a Masters in Fine Art at the MIMA School of Art, Teesside. Jane recently started her artistic career working from home in her studio in the beautiful town of Richmond, North Yorkshire.
Her ceramic fruits range experiment with crystal glazes to produce abstract patterns on the surface of the clay. She uses white earthenware and makes her own molds to slipcast her work before finishing by hand. She then fires the clay before adding bright coloured glazes and detailing with copper stalks. Her delicate glass pate-de-verre bowls made with glass frit and coloured powders add a pop of colour giving a bright contemporary feel to any home. They make beautiful and stylish trinket bowls for holding small items such as jewellery. Bright, vivid colours are a recurring theme in her work bringing positivity and joy and aims to make you smile. Jane enjoys bringing beautiful handcrafted artwork into people’s homes.
